I meet many along the way of friends but only some stay with me. Those are my real friends who stay by my side through thick and thin. Friendship is the most beautiful gift I can present to anyone. It is one which stays with a person forever.
Most importantly, true friendship stands for a relationship free of any judgments. In a true friendship, a person can be themselves completely without the fear of being judged. It makes you feel loved and accepted. This kind of freedom is what every human strives to have in their lives.
In short, true friendship is what gives us reason to stay strong in life. Having a loving family and all is okay but you also need true friendship to be completely happy. Some people don’t even have families but they have friends who’re like their family only. Thus, we see having true friends means a lot to everyone.

SAVE THE FILIPINO FARMERS
Rice fields are turning gold and two weeks from now, harvesting season will start here in Nueva Ecija. But unlike last year, you don’t see from the farmer’s eyes the excitement of reaping the fruit of four months of hard labor. Excitement turned into worry… worrying of just breaking even or even selling the harvest at a loss. Farmers have all the reasons to worry for the farm gate price of fresh palay is currently at 12 to 14 pesos per kilogram compared to 19 to 21 pesos per kilogram same season last year. Here are some interesting numbers… The average cost and average yield per hectare during this season are 40,000 pesos and 5,000 kgs of palay, respectively. At 12 pesos per kg, it will give a net income of 20,000 pesos per hectare ((12pesos/kg x 5,000kgs) – 40,000pesos) compared to 55,000 pesos ((19pesos/kg x 5,000kgs) – 40,000pesos) same season last year. That is roughly 65% loss of income! 20,000 pesos income translates to 3,333 pesos of monthly income and that amount of money is surely not enough to have a decent living for a farmer who only owns one or two hectares of farm.
It is ironic that farmers are the ones feeding the nation yet they cannot feed themselves…
It is ironic that goverment officials are exhausting all their time in figuring out where transgenders should pee yet they are ignoring the industry where millions of Filipinos depend their future…
My own opinion,The Farmers of the nation produces the fruits, vegetables, and rice that are served on Filipino tables. It is because of the farmers’ ceaseless efforts that we have something to eat to fill our stomach and nourish our body. The sad thing is that most of the people you feed do not appreciate and give importance of your existence and contribution. What’s more heart-breaking is that you work harder, but earn less. You earn less not just because of the small amount of income you gain, but because of the little value given to you. You earn less because most of Filipinos do not deeply appreciate your important role in the society as food producers.
Rain or shine, you go to the fields to check on the crops, and do everything to have a good harvest to gain bigger income. You spend almost half of your day under various difficult situations, but you do not earn what you deserve.
You put in a big percentage to our Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and along with the fishery sector, you contribute almost 20 percent of the total GDP.
But, you receive less of government’s assistance. Your income is not enough for your basic needs and can’t even support your family. You don’t deserve to get this in return from your huge contribution in the society and economy.
It upsets me that even if you fulfill your role in the society in the best way you can, together with the fishermen, you are still the ‘poorest sectors’ and ‘most vulnerable to hunger and poverty’ according to a report by Oxfam International Philippines.
As one of the pillars of Philippine economy, you are worthy to be commended. You deserve to live in abundance. You deserve more.
